What are the different types of Nylon Blocks
Nylon Blocks, nylon sheets or bars, the main types include:
PA6 (Nylon 6) : from caprolactam polymerization, has good mechanical properties and heat resistance.
PA66 (Nylon 66) : From adipic acid and hexanediamine condensation, harder, more wear-resistant, better heat and corrosion resistance.
PA11 and PA12: polymerized from sebacic acid and dodecylamine, respectively, with special properties such as biocompatibility and degradability.
PA610, PA612, PA1010, PA46, PA9T, and PA6I: Each has specific performance advantages.
Modified nylon: such as reinforced nylon, MC nylon, RIM nylon, transparent nylon, etc., through the addition of materials or modification technology to optimize the performance.
Blends and alloys: Mixed with other polymers to improve specific properties.
The selection of each Nylon block should be based on application requirements such as mechanical strength, chemical resistance, processability and cost considerations.
